The Chillicothe Board of Education during their Tuesday meeting rescinded the bid on the purchase of the vacant Central School building.
The Hamilton Group submitted a bid earlier this summer and have since found they could no longer pay what their bid had specified. According to an email from the Chillicothe School District, specifications of the bid required the purchasers of the Central School provide a 175 thousand dollar performance bond and begin development of the property by July 1st, 2020.
The Board will hold a special meeting next Tuesday at 6:30 at the GRTS building at 1200 Fair Street to discuss the future of the building.
